DR. JONATHAN LEE
Dr. Jonathan Lee is an experienced, Canadian and New York fellowship-trained Plastic Surgeon based in Calgary. Well-established, he is board certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and specializes in both cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery.
Dr. Lee began his studies at the University of Calgary as a double major in both Science and Music Piano Performance. He then went on to study medicine at the University of Alberta, where he completed his medical degree (MD) in 2003, followed by a five year residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (FRCSC).
After residency, he received further sub-specialized hand and microvascular fellowship training in New York under many of the leading plastic surgery experts at New York University. He subsequently completed an additional fellowship from the University of Toronto in Cosmetic Surgery at the prestigious Toronto Institute of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. After fourteen years of post-secondary education, Dr. Lee opened his Calgary practice — the Calgary Institute of Plastic Surgery — in 2009. He also holds a faculty appointment at the University of Calgary and is the Site Chief of Plastic Surgery at the Peter Lougheed Centre Hospital.
Tracey is a Registered Nurse and graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing degree in 2013 from the University of Calgary.
She has honed her skills for the past five years working in Women's Health, Maternity and Newborn Care — an area of medicine which requires the gentlest touch, compassion, and a love for connecting with people from all backgrounds.
These traits have transferred over to her interest in Medical Aesthetics, where Tracey is known for her gentle technique and kindness. By merging her skillset and passion for Medical Aesthetics, Tracey has quickly become an incredibly experienced Nurse Injector.
Tracey completed an intensive mentorship in facial aesthetics and injections under the tutelage of Dr. Jonathan Lee at the Calgary Institute of Plastic Surgery. She believes in embracing your own kind of beautiful and strives to create stunning, natural results.
Advanced Nurse Injector
Thomas was born and raised in Calgary where he completed his Bachelor of Nursing degree at the University of Calgary. He began his nursing career in 2009 and became a full-fledged Medical Aesthetics Injector in 2013.
Thomas' expertise in facial aging, attention to detail, and his natural approach have quickly made him one of the most sought after injectors in Canada. Under the tutelage and guidance of Dr. Jonathan Lee and other industry leaders, Thomas has developed advanced techniques and has become highly experienced with minimally invasive non-surgical procedures.
Thomas's clients love his outgoing and fun personality. He understands that no person is the same and tailors his treatments specific to each individual.
Thomas is an active karate practitioner and is a Canadian national team member. He has represented Canada four times on the world stage, earning him two world medals, most recently at the 2017 JKA World Championships in Ireland.
Advanced Nurse Injector
Lisa entered into the world of aesthetics in 2012 with a background in pediatric and adult emergency care, she has a passion for enhancing one’s natural beauty. Lisa believes in taking a holistic approach with a combination of skin care, eating healthy, exercise, laser treatments, along with volume addition/replacement with fillers and wrinkle prevention with neurotoxin (Dysport/Botox).
In 2015, Lisa was recruited by Galderma Canada’s Aesthetic and Correctives’ Department as Clinical Trainer for Western Canada. Lisa’s primary role with Galderma is to train doctors and nurses on the company’s products and on advanced techniques in facial injections.
While working for Galderma, Lisa completed several preceptorships with world-renowned physicians who specialize in facial injections and attended conferences all over the world. She has not only studied facial injectables under some of the most globally recognized names in facial aesthetics but has also helped organize and conduct large aesthetic meetings.
Lisa’s mission is to deliver natural and subtle results to her patients. Her trained aesthetic eye allows her to provide facial contouring, corrective techniques, enhancements and volume replacement.
Jenna is an experienced and results-driven Medical Aesthetician and Certified Laser Technician. Her strengths lie in enhancing patients’ personal appearances using the latest technology and continued education. She possesses a special talent for analyzing skin, allowing her to develop medical grade skin care regimes and determining successful plans of treatment for the best result.
Jenna has a pleasant personality with a proven track record of practicing safe, effective, and hygienic aesthetics. She delivers a bespoke experience for every guest by listening to specific requests and concerns.
Jenna moved to Calgary from Nova Scotia in 2008. When she’s not taking her daughter to dance lessons, she is busy working out. Jenna has a proven interest in art, and once had a picture displayed in the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.
With an unrelenting passion for her field and a fervent belief in continuing education, Maria is a member of the American Academy of Micropigmentation, an elite group of professionals dedicated to fostering the highest standards of excellence and quality in micropigmentation while perpetually staying abreast of new developments within the field.
Maria is the guest experience director and team lead of micropigmentation at LAB11. She focuses on permanent cosmetic services such as permanent eyebrow shading, microblading, skin and scar camouflaging, and eyeliner and lip colour application. Her gift for aesthetic artistry, careful attention to detail, medical background, and commitment to ethical treatment give her the ability to achieve unmatched patient results that can allow you to look and feel your best.
Kacie McLeod is a recent graduate of Medical Aesthetics. A world-traveler, Kacie’s keen eye and broadened view of beauty in all forms has instilled confidence and comfort in her own skin; a confidence and positivity that is absolutely infectious.
Continually learning and searching for new opportunities has ultimately led her into the medical side of skin care, an industry that continues to grow and change, always offering room to improve. With a heavy preference for providing facials, Kacie aims to give our guests healthy, happy, glowing skin.
When she's not jet setting, Kacie can be working out in boutique fitness studios, taking in all Calgary has to offer and enjoying wine and cheese with family and friends. Her attentiveness to all things current while remaining true to her own style gives Kacie a unique flair; you'll almost always catch her in her signature wide-brimmed hat.
David has many years of experience in office management, specializing in wellness and Medical Aesthetics. David’s passion for people, culture and building relationships is what keeps him ticking.
Originally from Vancouver, you can often find David spending his weekends in the mountains with his partner, family and friends, antique hunting and indulging his great love for the arts.
Born in Ottawa, Ontario, Melanie moved to Calgary when she was 19. After working in the Medical Aesthetics industry for five years as a Laser Technician, Melanie decided to return to school and attended SAIT for New Media Production and Design.
Melanie graduated from the program and decided to blend her education with a lifelong passion for graphic design. She strives to use her skills to shine a light on the treatments that can help improve quality of life and confidence.
Melanie began working with Dr. Jonathan Lee at the Calgary Institute of Plastic Surgery before transferring to LAB11 to help the clinic’s marketing flourish. Her goal is to ensure guests feel welcome, comfortable and assured. Chances are, you've spoken to her on our Instagram!
In her spare time, she is a film aficionado, hiker, traveler, and she volunteers with seniors and rescue animals.
